Atkore has consolidated two of their businesses into one site in Sydney, Australia. The move combines both the Atkore Unistrut® (AU) Smeaton Grange warehouse and Atkore Flexicon (AU) Kings Park facility into a 7500 sq m. property in Minto, NSW.

The facility will give both businesses a larger warehousing capability along with capacity to reintroduce more manufacturing in Australia.

Andrew Cropp, Managing Director for Cable Management and Metal Framing – Asia Pacific, says, “The relocation of our operation will enable us to provide even higher levels of service excellence for our customers and also gives us room for even further expansion and increases in staff levels. Additionally, This project has been managed by Mark Hulme who has done a tremendous job to ensure the move was seamless, by meeting our critical path timeline and budgeting, despite being conducted during the pandemic and lockdowns. Thank you to the team for all their efforts.”

Phil Cowen, General Manager – Flexicon Australia says, “This new Atkore facility is an exceptional step forward for the Atkore brand in Australia and the APAC region. The site’s layout enables greater efficiency for both Unistrut® and Flexicon, driving excellent service to the market and with capacity to take on future growth opportunities. In addition, locating both head offices and national warehousing on the one site will provide more opportunity for synergies between the two businesses driving success of the Atkore brand in APAC.”
